INFORMATION ACTIVITY

The library is the main information centre of librarian and bibliographic data of the town and of the whole administrative district. For special orders, the library may also set a list of bibliographic data for individual users and institutions using own catalogues and card indexes.
Catalogues and card indexes:
- the alphabetic and subject catalogue registering all publishers in the library with topography
- the catlogue of special collections
- the electronic catalogue of postcards
- the local card index registering books, magazines and articles from local magazines
- Lesniana card index
- the card index of meritorious people
- the issue card index
The library may print some data from: LEX, The Bibliographic Guide, The Bibliography of Magazines and the library’s catalogues. The library also publishes “The Varia”- a magazine that informs readers about all events in The Town Public Library.
